The Indian Society for Technical Education is a national, professional, non-profit making Society registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. The major objective of ISTE is to assist and contribute to the development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industries and other organizations by having meaningful interaction among the various technical institutions of Degree/Diploma levels all over the Country and gives an opportunity to bring out the hidden talent in an individual.
ISTE Students' Chapter is one of the most versatile and dynamic clubs on the Nirma University campus. It is one of the most active students' chapter among the several other chapters of the university. It is known as well as appreciated for both its technical as well as non-technical events. In addition to providing an outstanding platform for students to express their creativity and exercise their technical skills, ISTE-ITNU is also a great guild for honing management skills.
The main objective of ISTE, ITNU is to formulate the general goals & responsibilities of technical education as well as to adjust curriculum & educational processes to changing conditions. It also aims at improving instructional methods & practices, administrative usages and fostering research as a function complementary to teaching. Also we in ISTE-ITNU understand our duty towards the society and hence with each passing year we have been concentrating on social activities, by virtue of which the students are nurtured to become a worthy citizen of this great country. Thus, ISTE Students' Chapter is the only Tech, Non-Tech and Social Club of Nirma University. The success of ISTE, ITNU can be measured by seeing to it that it had won "THE BEST STUDENTS' CHAPTER" for 5 years.
