Kartik graduated from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh with Masters from the Language Technologies Institute, School of Computer Science focusing on Big Data, Machine Learning, NLP and Bio-technology. During his time there, he was part of the IBM Watson project and worked on genome analysis with machine learning
In 2010, he founded AutoBudder - a software which automatically wishes friends on their birthdays. AutoBudder reached out to 4 million people at its peak and won the ACM Challenge of Code
Prior to that, he served as the CTO of LetMeKnow.com an online portal delivering internships, scholarships, conferences etc to college students in India
He has won multiple hackathons including the FWD.us hackathon at Facebook, AWS, HackNY and NYUAD
He’s a Kairos Global Fellow 2012 and was invited to the White House to meet with senators and administration to lobby for changes to the immigration laws
