Glimpse of 2012 ICCCI held this year 10-11 January,2012:
The second International Conference on Computer Communication and Informatics (ICCCI 2012) was well received by the researchers around the world and had been successfully completed. ICCCI 2012 received around 800+ research papers from several countries and 200 were accepted after review. 152 research papers authored from ten different countries were registered and presented orally during the ICCCI 2012 conference. All the 152 papers were indexed in IEEE Xplore.
During the inaugural address, Dr. P. Venkat Rangan, Vice Chancellor, Amirta VishwaVidhyapeetham University, Coimbatore stressed the need for growing research appetite amoung young researchers and appreciated the role of ICCCI 2012 in providing such platform. Dr. T. Thyagarajan, then Chairman, IEEE Madras Section appreciated the outstanding review process by the international review committee.
Special address was delivered by Padmashri Dr. A. Sivathanu Pillai, Distinguished Scientist, DRDO, CEO & Managing Director – Brahmos Aerospace, New Delhi. Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the conference, Dr. Pillai revealed the launch of the world’s fastest hypersonic missile, Brahmos 2. He said air version of BrahMos missile would be inducted into the Indian Air Force within one year and works for developing BrahMos 2, the fastest hypersonic missile in the world, would begin soon. BrahMos would take final shape in another five years, he added. While the BrahMos missile has the speed of Mach 3 (speed of sound) moving at one km per second, the hypersonic missile would achieve a speed of Mach 6 to Mach 7.
Padmashri Dr. R.M Vasagam, Former Vice Chancellor, Anna University and Chairman – National Design and Research Forum, Bangalore delivered the keynote address. Shri Jagan Jothivel, Education Program Manager – INDIA & SAARC Countries, CISCO, Bengaluru delivered the lead paper and chaired the session. Dr. Mohd. Zaid Abdullah, Dean, Imaging and Mechatronics Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia and Prof. P.K. Sahoo, Professor, Chang Gung University, Taiwan also delivered the lead papers. During the valedictory address, Shri. Srikantan Moorthy, Senior Vice President and Group Head – Education & Research, Infosys, Bengaluru stressed the methodologies of applying research into fundamental issues. Shri. Sandip Kumar Banarjee, General Manager – Industrial Alliances, Oracle India, Kolkata delivered the special address, highlighting the current developments in the software industry.
The International Conference on Computer Communication and Informatics (ICCCI 2013) is technically co-sponsored by IEEE Madras Section and aims to provide an outstanding opportunity for both academic and industrial communities alike to address new trends and challenges and emerging technologies on topics relevant to today’s fast moving areas of Computer, Communication and Informatics. The conference will feature invited talks and referred paper presentations. The vision of this international conference is to foster communication among researchers and practitioners working in a wide variety of areas in Communication and Informatics with a common interest.
Prospective authors are invited to submit the manuscripts of their original research contributions email@example.com, review articles are also invited. Soft copy (.doc or .pdf formats) of the full papers not exceeding six pages and as per IEEE style which can be found in the conference website shall be submitted for the conference. Further, the paper should contain name of the corresponding author with E-mail ID and affiliation of all authors. Please indicate the discipline of the paper in the subject column of the mail. All the submitted papers will be sent for peer review and the corresponding author will be notified the outcome of the review process. If reviewers recommend for further improvements in the paper, the paper will be sent back to the corresponding author and the revised version should be submitted with in fifteen days on the date of receipt. Proceedings of ICCCI 2013 will be archived in IEEE Xplore Digital library.
