Heritage Walk - Water Walks. Lakes of Delhi.
Meeting Point: Ticket window, PVR Saket (Nearest Metro: Malviya Nagar), 11 am.
Ending Point: PVR Saket, 7 pm.
Lakes spread all over Delhi, a saga of water in the city...
Some brimming with abundance, and some dried up in today's waterless climate...
Some natural lakes, and some man made ones....
Visit holy lakes, historical lakes,
Brimming with stories if not water,
And spend a day learning to love water....
Itinerary & Places Visited -
11 am: Walk starts at PVR Saket.
11.30 am-12.30 pm: Surajkund Lake, just outside Delhi, 10th century.
1.15 - 2.30 pm: Haus Khas Reservoir, 13th century. Lunch at Naivedyam at participant's cost.
3.00- 3.30 pm: Sarovar at Bangla Sahib, 17th century.
4 - 5 pm: Naini Lake, Model Town, 20th century.
6 pm: Walk ends at PVR Saket.
Registration Details: Contribute Rs. 1,100/- per person (includes transport).
