About The Event

Let's time travel to experience the legacy of one of the India's most ancient & prosperous kingdoms of Vijayanagara - The Hampi :)

As we marvel at the historical wonder that is Hampi, since it's a long weekend, we will also travel Badami - yet another place with it's history dating back to ancient Indian kingdom of Ashoka & a wonder in itself!

Words cannot explain these magnificent sites, so let's experience in our own muddie way! ;-)

Friday: Reach Hampi, freshen up & breakfast, start the Heritage Walk along the banks of the river Tungabhadra towards the monuments/temples like Varaha temple, Sule Bazar, the magnificent Vittal temple etc. Break for lunch and continue with other monuments like Lotus Mahal, Elephant Stable, Queen's bath etc. Visit Virupaksha temple and have a nice sunset view at Virupaksha hill. Come back to homestay, freshen up, dinner & a social gathering before sleep  ;-)

Saturday: Start the day little late, breakfast and head to the other side of the river on a boat, take bikes, explore, enjoy the cool breeze & self-drive, visit the pristine Sanapur Lake - take a dip, go on a coracle ride, take lots of selfies, relax and rejuvenate. Hike up the Anjanadri hill (Hanuman's birth place) on the northern banks of Tungabhadra river! Another social gathering before retiring for night ;-)

Sunday:  Breakfast, check out of homestay, travel to Badami (3-hour journey by our mini-bus) & explore the magnificent cave temples of Badami till evening & start back to Bangalore around 7 PM.
