Reconnect, Rekindle, Re-engage

Pan DCE DTU, under the wings of International Alumni Advisory Committee of DTU, is organizing 2nd Global Alumni Conclave from 19th to 20th  January, 2013. Pan DCE DTU is constituted by Delhi Technology University to facilitate and provide the vital connect between the great Alumni community of Delhi Polytechnic, Delhi College of Engineering and future generations of Delhi Technological University, with their alma mater. The objective of Pan DCE DTU is to provide a mechanism by which the matured advice, counsel and support of the distinguished alumni of this prestigious institution could be harnessed to take their alma mater to greater heights on the path of Education, Research & Innovation Excellence.

Primary theme of the conclave “Renewing India for a Better tomorrow” aims at discussing the major alternative sources of energy along with their development, sustainability and commercialization. The conclave majorly strives to converse on this vital issue and impact the nation through the intellectual discussions, enlightening lectures and showcase innovations. Moreover the conclave will maintain its motto of “Reconnect, Re-Kindle, and Re-Engage” and will ensure a healthy and fruitful interaction among the fellow alumni and present students of the University.

Global Alumni Conclave 2012: Glimpse

The two day Alumni Conclave organized by DTU along with its Pan DCE DTU Network and International Alumni Advisory Council celebrated 70 Years of Excellence and innovation in DTU, which started its journey as Delhi Polytechnic in 1941, became Delhi College of Engineering in 1965 and DTU in 2009.

The Conclave was attended by approximately 700 alumni from various parts of the country and abroad. The two day mega event included Leadership Lectures by Prof. Yogesh Singh, Vice Chancellor, Maharaj Sayajirao University of Baroda, Prof. Philip Dugerdil, Professor of Software technology, Geneva School of Business Administration, Switzerland and the alumni industry leaders. A Round Table on “Vision India 2021 as a Global Technology and Innovation Hub” was also organized which was addressed by industry captains and leading academicians.

The conclave participants also witnessed the showcasing of innovations of students & faculty who have attained high international acclaim. Some of these innovations include the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), Solar Car, Hybrid Car, Super Mileage Vehicle and eco-friendly Dhobi – Washing Machine, etc.
