GIREM once again is leading from the front, time to discuss and share views on hot topic of LAND.
How do we find the best-fit solutions to look at land as a resource to achieve a sustaining growth in the global context?
The guiding law for Land Acquisition and Rehabilitation of the displaced people, formulated in 1894, is rendered archaic and irrelevant today, with rampant abuse through misinterpretation & misuse. The much awaited Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Bill in India, (LARR bill, 2011), was presented to the Indian parliament in record time, and the same would be up for debate in December’ 2011. Increased emphasis is being sought to find the right balance between the land owners, legislation & the Industrial requirements. This being a Central law, would also be the guiding principle under the federal setup for the states to create just & fair atmosphere investment climate in the respective states.
In this perspective, GIREM is pleased to organize an interactive seminar to discuss the impacts of this LARR bill on Industries, Housing, Agriculture, Businesses and Land Owners & the other stakeholders. The discussion will centre around the myriad aspects and dimensions related to land in the past and present times, as well as look into the future ahead. This seminar will witness the presence of Indian Industry leaders, Real Estate Developers, Institutional financial investors as well as Government officials and other key stakeholders to actively present the wish lists, as well as debate for solutions that all seek from the LARR Bill 2011.
