The Class Act
English Play (120 mins)
Thursday, 25th – 7.30 pm

The play is based in an acting class where the students come from different religious backgrounds and are pitted against each other in various acting exercises, exposing the myth of “unity in diversity amongst Indians” where everybody is just out to get each other and be a ‘class’ apart.
Watch a Parsi, Hindu, Muslim, Goan-Christian and woman come together to display and destruct the stereotypes that exist in our society – that caste is but a temporary fad but class is permanent.
The Class Act has garnered tremendous fan following in its 50 shows over the last 3 years.
Written and Directed by Meherzad Patel
Cast: Sajeel Parakh, Danesh Irani, Meherzad Patel, Danesh Khambata, Lucky Vakhariaand Afshad Kelawala

Four Square
English Play
Friday, 26th – 7.30 pm
A collection of four hilarious short plays
Listen: An awkward silence in a psychotherapist’s office.
When a man gives you his life history, one thing is for sure: he’s editing out the bad parts – or maybe just all of it.
Applause: Where the actors are the audience, and so is the audience. Who is acting?
The actors give you a lesson on what an audience member is supposed to do. Or at least that’s what the writer believes.
Monster Date: A first date gone horribly wrong, yet portrayed as terribly right.
When a man and woman spend an awkward blind date together, you are given the option of deciding – which one of them is the real monster on this date?
Late: Audience members should not be allowed in the theatre once the performance begins, but the actors in Late beg to differ as they push and pull and shove in this comedy which “ushers” in the farce of theatrical madness... or rather just madness at a theatre.

Rusty Screws
English Play (90 mins)
Saturday, 27th – 7.00 pm
Rusty Screws takes a peek into family life in any Indian household and raises the important debate of friends over family.
On the morning of his aged father’s birthday, Rusty has to also meet his son’s principal (also his own ex-principal) for his son’s misbehavior in school. At the same time he has to meet his boss, fire his best friend and also meet his father, whom he hasn’t spoken to in three years. Unfortunately he does not have time for all this on a single day. Which responsibility does he shrug away – Friend? Family? Finance?
This dilemma shows the audience what the life of a nuclear family in Mumbai is like and how people treat their own parents and employees today. The humour in the play lies in the hilarity of the relationships shared by the family members.

English Play (90 mins)
Sunday, 28th – 7.00 pm
Fools revolve around a couple of couples who give their account and interpretations of what a relationship is meant to be.
You don’t need a counselor, a sexpert or even your best friend to give you advice about your relationship. All you need is a ‘Couple of Fools’ to advice you on love, lust, fetishes, dating and romance. From a ‘dating a caveman’ to ‘nightmares with a sexy skirt’ from literally ‘loving your meat’ to ‘vegetarians in lust,’ the play unravels the cornered, undisclosed whacky desires of both women and men. The side-splitting comedy is proof that opposites really do attract, but can’t seem to fathom how!
