Experiment Alpha-7th grade

 "Activity before Concept, Concept before Vocabulary". That is how you should learn science. Selected 25 experiments/activities from syllabus of physics, chemistry and biology for the class 7th to help students learn science through experiment. These experiments will help them learn concepts better and forever.  We will cover the concepts before the experiments and help student design the experiments.

For whom: Ideal for students going to 7th grade in the next academic year or have just completed 7th grade. 

Experiment List:

1. Observe stomata of different types of plants under the microscope - mango, banana, money plant, hibiscus, maize, etc.
2. Study that leaves prepare starch by the process of photosynthesis.
3. Transpiration in plants.
4. Respiration in germinating seeds
5. Budding of yeast
6. Burn test for fibers
7. Observing cross section of the stem under microscope
8. Physical change - Liquid nitrogen experiment.
9. Types of basic chemical reactions + Reaction of sodium with water
10. Natural dyeing of yarn
11. Rate of conduction in metals - copper, brass and steel.
12. Convection heating in liquid and air.
13. pH testing of household substances.
14. Neutralisation reaction of hydrochloric acid with sodium hydroxide.
15. Nature of oxides - metallic and non-metallic
16. Changes due to heat/light.
17. Determine the factors affecting the time period of simple pendulum.
18. Demo: Heating effect of electric current.
19. Magentic effect of electric currrent - magnetic field and force
20. Observing spectrum of light and effect of filters on it using spectrometer
21. Image formation in Concave and convex Mirror
22. Sound needs medium to travel
23. Build Roller Coaster 
24. Crystallization of salts
25. Make your own compass

When you go back to your classroom, you would find understanding the concept easier, you would learn it faster, better and forever.
