Experiment Alpha 6th grade

 "Activity before Concept, Concept before Vocabulary". That is how you should learn science. Selected 25 experiments/activities from syllabus of physics, chemistry and biology for the class 6th to help students learn science through experiment. These experiments will help them learn concepts better and forever. Ideal for students going to the 6th grade and those who have completed 6th grade.  

You will conduct a variety of physics, chemistry and biology experiments like:

1. Coloured shadows
2. Find out how transparent and translucent object affect the intensity of light passing through them using spectrometer.
3. Make a cardboard periscope.
4. Make simple electricity circuit using conducting and non-conducting objects.
5. Make a fruit battery
6. Burn test of fibres
7. Make Electro magnet (permanent and temporary) & demagnetize permanent magnet.
8. Make your own compass
9. Natural dyeing of yarn
10. Filtration of water - sedimentation, decantation and filtration
11. Experiments with liquid nitrogen
12. Measure the length and breadth of classroom using different measuring instruments and compare the readings.
13. Crystallisation: Common Salt/Sugar/Copper Sulphate
14. Which juice has more vitamin C?
15. Finding nutrients in our food
16. Plant transpiration
17. Observing stomata under the microscope
18. Plants produce starch in presence of sunlight.
19. Extracting more juice from fruit using pectinase.
20. Paper recycling
21. Observing plant cell under the microscope
22. Observing animal cell under the microscope
23. Plants produce oxygen in presence of sunlight.
24. Oxygen is required for combustion.
