DESCRIPTION
Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and is a tourist center. It is the gateway to Nepal Himalayas Treks / Hikes in the Himalayas differ from easy to difficult to strenuous and beyond.
While the city suffered a lot of damage during 2015 earthquake, it leftovers a captivating place to discover. Everest Base Camp trek is the dream trek for every hiker / Trekker. Most of the places to this spot go through ridges and trails, but you would have sufficient space to break and have meal on your mode. And one of the greatest things about this place is that you don’t have to worry about being lost, by way of you can ask someone for the next village. The people are very friendly and provide assistance and support even to outsiders.
HIGHLIGHTS
Take the flight from Kathmandu to reach Lukla, where your trek starts.
Lukla is a small village with a runway at the end of the valley. This airport is called the most dangerous airport in the world for its short runway and the drop off in the end. Landing and taking off in Lukla is an adrenaline pumping experience. Cloud covering a mountain ridge can closed this airport down.
ITINERARY
Day 1 - Welcome to Kathmandu, Nepal. Check into the Hotel & Rest

Day 2 - Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding ( 2650 m/ 8745 ft) : 35-40 minutes flight, 3-4 hours trek (5-6 km)
Today our first exciting morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Take overview snowy mountain peaks along the way to Lukla. After landing small air script at Lukla takes around an hours to start our trek meeting. Passing amazing air script we landed and forward to Phakding via Sherpa Settlements Cheplung, Thado Koshi and Ghat where we will get incredible glimpse of Khumbila peak and east part of Thamserku peak.
Day 3 - Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3430 m/ 11352 ft) : 5 - 6 hours (10-11km)
After breakfast we gradually continue through Benkar, Chumoa, Monjo villages passing a pine forest along the Dudh Kosi River valley. Last village Jorsale before final steep climbing 350m to Namche Bazaar the main gateway and luxury town in Everest region we will be staying another extra night for acclimatization before heading more high altitude.
Day 4 - Acclimatization-Day in Namche Bazaar : (3440 m/ 11352 ft) : 3-4 hours (6-8 km up and down)
We can tour around the town visiting museum and national park headquarters to overview Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam, Konde, Kangtega and other ranges. Today we also hike around 400m to Everest View hotel for best view point possible tea break with some cookies and back to Namche Bazaar lunch and rest overnight lodge.
Day 5 - Trek to Tengboche Monastery (3880 m/ 12800 ft) : 4-5 hours (8-9 km)
Today trek gradually passes around National Park Headquarter above the ridges over viewing Dudhkoshi Valley passing Kyanjuma gradually downhill to riverside spot Phunki then climb to Monastery land Tengboche which is blessed around the panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Nuptse-Lhotse ranges, Thamserku and snow peak Himalayas.
Day 6 - Tengboche Monastery to Dingboche village (4340 m/ 14320 ft): 5 - 6 hours (9-10 km)
From the monastery our trails slowly descend through rhododendrons, confer trees and lush forests of birch along the fantastic admired views of Amadablam, Lhotse and Everest to Imja valley. Crossing Imja Khola we take upper Pangboche village for Closet Himalayan Vista. After Pangboche ascend Somare short tea break and continue to Dingboche valley where crossing Lobuje river to Imja river valley. This is the last Sherpa settlement of picturesque village with potatoes fields, buckwheat field and barley field with grazing animals along the dotted fields.
Day 7 - Dingboche: Acclimatization: 4 hours (4 km)
We recommend spending a day in Dingboche village to help acclimate before heading more high altitude instead of staying at guest house, we climb steep ridge called Nangkartshang peak for best view point of Makalu,Chhopolu, Lhotse,Lhotse shar, Island Peak,Cho Oyu the six tallest peaks of the world and deepest dingboche valley to to Namche Bazaar valley.overnight at dingboche.
Day 8 - Dingboche to Lobuche (4940 m/ 16200 ft) via Thukla (4620 m/ 15245 ft): 4 - 5 hours
The trail from Dingboche to Thukla gradually ascent after the ridge and steep climb to top of the ridge is filled mountain prayer flags and memorials stones for climbers who lost their lives on climbing Mt.Everest ,facing several great views including Lingtren,Khumbutse,Mahalangur himal ,Pumori and across the Khumbu glacier Nuptse looks more shirker. Walk slowly as possible, rest and make sure enough drinking water due to going higher windy into thin air and desert land. Another one hour from the top of ridge to camp side Lobuje where we will overnight.
Day 9 - Lobuche to GorakShep (5180 m/ 17094 ft) after lunch visit Everest Base Camp (5364 m/ 17700 ft) overnight at Gorakshep: 6-8 hours (12 km)
The trail not steep hard but long day due to walk up/down on a glacier rock path. We eat something and continue Everest base camp after check in the room. Following beside Khumbu glacier and Khumbu icefall on touching distance. Feel tired after just close to Everest base camp one of the stunning beautiful amazing views of Nuptse, west ridge of Everest, Kbumbutse and Pumori from the snowy base camp. After few minutes enjoy the views with some snicker bars and cookies, taking some beautiful shots on camera, we backwards to Gorakshep for overnight.
Day 10 - Gorakshep to Kala Patthar (5545 m/ 18295 ft) to Pheriche (4200 m/ 13860 ft) 7-8 hours (14 km)
We wake up early in the morning to climb our final destination Kala Pathar as soon get light outside on cold temperature and continue ascent after hot cup of tea or coffee. Takes around two/three hours to top and backwards 40 minutes depending on physical condition when we there. Kala Pathar viewpoint is one of best way to overview the tallest mountain Everest. we can also see south cool between Lhotse and Everest (which also known as 5th Camp while attempt the top. Kala Patthar is viewpoint place that your unleashed dream trip became reality and feels one of the strongest people in the world to achieve your goal. Now legs ready to go down as soon possible to Gorakshep pack up and down to windy Pheriche valley.
Day 11 - Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3440 m/ 11280 ft): 6 - 7 hours (18 km)
Today we will feel more pleasure in knee and lose approximately 2500 ft on trail with lots of down and ups. Cross Dudhkoshi river bank then continue Namche Bazaar for celebrating successful trip.
Day 12 - Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2800 m/ 9186 ft): 6 - 8 hours (16-17 km)
In the morning one of the best breakfast as possible we continue final downhill destination to Lukla. Crossing several suspension bridges and monasteries. Descending around (3000m/9900 ft) from Kalapathar Peak 5545m to Phakding 2600m and Lukla 2800m. that’s why we are so tired after hot shower start final Everest trek celebration. Overnight at Lukla.
Day 13 - Fly back to Kathmandu
Early in the morning after breakfast go to airport for first flight to Kathmandu to take us after long journey of Mountain to vibrant city Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel rest and after lunch explore self for souvenir shopping for family and friends ours guide keen to help you as desired.
