With its last two editions, ETAuto Retail Forum (ETARF) has established itself as a landmark event on automobile retailing in India. The annual event on automobile dealers and services has grown manifold with last edition witnessing active participation of 35 top industry leaders as speakers and over 500 senior auto industry professionals and entrepreneurs as delegates.
This year, ETAuto brings the third edition of ETARF with much more might and insights, having focus on increasing digital trends, leveraging opportunities in auto parts & services and pre-owned automobile business.
The digital influence on automobiles has been surging in small cities. Online queries for two-wheeler insurance doubled in the last one year, while there was a spike of 43 percent in searches related to auto parts and accessories. Interestingly, a 10 times growth was recorded in regional language search.
With regard to dealer queries, the growth stood at 26 percent and searches related to dealers on maps grew 8 times in two years with every 2 in 3 car buyers using search to locate dealerships. Notably, 71 percent of car intenders feel that 360-degree 3D videos can replace test drives. All these clearly suggest that the power of digital can neither be ignored nor delayed.
This year, ETARF will also have a focus on instilling financial prudence and inventory management, apart from deliberating on bringing cultural and gender balance in the automobile retail business.
ETARF 2018 will also roll out India’s first ranking of the power dealers for which applications are being invited from the industry people.
