On the sad demise of the Legendary Composer and Music Director ‘Mohammad Zahur Khayyam
Hashmi’, the show entitled ‘Ek Mulaqaat’ will be presented by Tagbin as a humble effort to preserve the Golden era of Music and pay tribute to ‘Khayyam Saheb’ on Monday, 18th November, 2019 from 6pm to 8pm at Gaiety Theatre, Shimla.
Khayyam Saheb contributed some beautiful, evergreen compositions to the industry of music, over a
span of 4 decades, between 1953 and 1990. His passing away has been referred to as ‘the end of a
golden era of music’.
To reminiscence his melodious compositions, the show will have Mr. Vijai Vardhan relate anecdotes
from Khayyam saheb’s life and Dr. Radhika Chopra will sing his beautiful compositions. The famous Khayyam songs of golden times from films like “Umrao Jaan” and “Kabhi Kabhi“, will be sung at the show with a harmonious touch of poetry and shayari.
