Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial Championship 2018

The nominated athlete can participate in a maximum of 2* events (Under 6 & Under 8 categories) or 3* events (Under 10 / Under 12 / Under 14 category) excluding relay as per details below:

(*) Under 10 category – 2 track events and 1 field event.

(*) Under 12/14 category – 3 track events and 1 field events (or)

            - 2 track events and 2 field events.

Relay Race

Only one team from each school is allowed to participate in 4*100 = 400mts Category. Each school can nominate 5 students for the relay team (including 1 substitute) at the time of registration. However, only four participating runners will be awarded medals and certificates.

 Prizes

 a. Certificates & Medals:

Every participant will be given a participation certificate. The Merit Certificates shall be awarded for the first three positions in each category.

 b. Individual Championships:

 A separate prize will be given to the Individual Champions - Boys and Girls, in all the categories. The Individual Championship (Best Athlete) in the Five age groups will be awarded only to one athlete on the basis of points won (as per the table below) in individual events (Relay points will not be considered for the individual championship). In case of a tie, the athlete with maximum gold medals will be chosen.

Registration

Registration forms for Dr. A.P.J. ABDUL KALAM  MEMORIAL CHAMPIONSHIP 2018  will be available from 07th December 2017 in the schools. All other details will be mentioned under General process/Instructions

Registration form should be completed and submitted to the Schools in person along with the entry fee and the other required documents as per the instructions given

Prescribed entry Fees are:

Rs. 150 /- per each Participant Under 6 and Under 8.

Rs. 200 /- per each Participant Under 10.

Rs. 250 /- per each Participant Under 12 and Under 14.

Rs. 200 /- For 4*100 relay category.

Entry fees can be paid only by Cash, from 07th December 2017 to the Representative.

Documents to be submitted for Registration along with the entry fee:

Registration Form (Filled in separately for each Age Category/Gender)

1. Copy of Birth Certificate of all participants duly attested by Head of the Institution.
2. Indemnity Form duly signed.

Note:

• Registration would be on a first –come- first -served basis.
• Incomplete registration form will result in disqualification of the participating school.
• Entry fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
• No entries would be accepted after the due date. Postal delay will not be considered as an excuse.
• Participants should bring their school ID cards/Bonafide Certificate.
• The participating school is responsible for submitting the indemnity forms of each participant along with the registration.
• Light refreshments will be provided  to students participating in the events.
• Dress Code :
• Participants will have to be in proper sports uniform (Shorts / T- Shirts and Sports Shoes/Running Spikes). Athletes using non-standard shoe nails will not be allowed to participate.

 Disqualification:

 A player / team may be disqualified for the following reasons:

 Ineligibility of any member of the team (Age Criteria).

 Inclusion of Unregistered / Non Bonafide student or accompanying official.
