Indian art is receiving increasing attention in world markets and there exists immense scope in increasing trade, generating revenue and creating employment in the sector by tapping both domestic and world demand. FICCI is organizing a Panel Discussion on 'Corporate Involvement in Arts' at the Speakers' Forum at India Art Fair on January 26, 2012 in New Delhi.
Discussions would highlight successful international and national case studies and focus on role, implications and prerequisites of private support to arts. The session would also bring to the fore the economic impact and growth potential of the Art and Culture sector and how the sector can contribute in creating jobs and economic growth.
FICCI will also be releasing a first of its kind study on 'Art and Corporate India' at the panel discussion. The study would be released by Mr. Subodh Gupta. The study is an attempt to gauge the evolving business approach towards cultural responsibility in the country as also to identify and document the various ways in which Corporate India is extending its support to the country’s vibrant and expanding arts ecosystem.
