Indian Institute of Drones has developed the course material based on DGCA guidelines to teach new pilots the basics on how to maximise your investment and minimise risk to equipment and people. Flying a UAV with no experience can lead to two situations any owner / controller dreads and must avoid.
1. A very costly mistake where the UAV is crashed or lost
2. An accident in which the lives and or safety of others are put in harm’s way
Entry level UAV’s can be as cheap as Rs 20,000/- and go all the way up to Rs 7,00,000 plus! Both are capable of causing injury and putting the controller at the mercy of the Director General Civil Aviation(DGCA). Just like driving a car there are rules that operators must abide by. Just like owning a car there are things that must be checked periodically before, during and after operating. This course is aimed at entry level for academic and corporate professionals.
