About HBC:
HBC Was founded in 2014 by a group of amateur cyclists with an aim to foster the cycling fraternity of Hubballi. Prof Satish Annigeri, Registrar VTU was our founder chairman. From its inception we have taken up numerous cycling expeditions, Brevets, Social Cause rides, MTB Championships, FSOMs , Cyclotsava to name a few. Our club is fortunate to have North Karnataka’s only Ironman Mr Shrikant Deshpande who is amongst our Chief Mentors. Our members Pradeep Bhat, Karthik Irappanavar have become Super Randonneurs taking long distance riding to a whole new level. Our current Chairman Mr Anand Mokashi has taken the baton from past chairman and has been working hard to bring more and more people into the fold of cycling.
About Cyclotsava:
Cyclotsava as the name says is “ Festival of Cycling” to celebrate the joy of being on the saddle and exploring new worlds around us with new friends. This is the 3rd edition of Cyclotsava being organized on 20th & 21st January 2018 at K L E Tech (B V B College) Campus, Vidyanagar. It will be a 2 day cycling extravaganza. Cyclists from all over India have been invited to participate in 100KM,50 KM & 30 KM Cycling events to test their endurance.More than 500 cyclists & 1000 runners are expected at the event. For the first time in Hubballi we will be organizing a Duathlon which is riding 25KM and running 5KM back to back within a given time limit. All the finishers will get beautiful medals and certificates. We will be awarding the cyclists of our area under different categories. Cyclist of the Year, Most consistent cyclist of the year, Cyclist for social change , Long Distance cyclist of the year , Cycle to Work are some of the categories which will be awarded. We will be inviting eminent sportsmen , Doctors to speak the event to create awareness.
