About The Event

The Global Alumni Celebrates 60 Years of IHM Chennai

Greetings from the organizing committee of IHM Chennai Alumni Diamond Madcat Fest

In celebrating the Diamond Jubilee of our Alma Mater IHM Chennai, we take immense pleasure in bringing you a grand gala celebration on the 11th of August 2023. This date was fixed, also taking into account the convenience of the MADCATS who are spread across the globe, as it happens to be summer holidays for MADCATS from the US, UK, Europe, Middle East and Australia. Added bonus is that the 11th of August being a Friday, coincides with a long weekend thus helping the various  batches plan their reunions.

On the 11th August the event commences at 9 am and as alumni, we will all gather at the Institute and have a  function commemorating the last 60 years.

This will be followed by lunch at the institute (bringing back old memories of the QTK “common lunch”!!!). People can take a nostalgic trip down to “Kanagam”, if they so desire (although it is no longer a small quaint village with just a couple of tea stalls!!)

We shall adjourn for the afternoon around 3:00 pm and re assemble at the event venue by 7:00 pm. The evening will be spent reminiscing the good old days over Cocktails and Dinner and we shall wind up by around 11pm. Please wear your dancing shoes as you will be expected to shake a leg.

The leading suppliers of the hospitality industry to put up their stalls around the campus, wherein there would be displays from kitchen equipment manufacturers, F&B suppliers, uniform and housekeeping vendors etc.

Kindly Note: This is a non profit event & proceeds of the collection will go towards Community Social Responsibility related activities for our college IHM Chennai, its Students & Faculty
