DHAK BAHIRI

Overview:

Dhak Bhairi fort is a hill fort situated in the base village of Sandshi of Raigad District this trek is an extremely hard trek with its height of 2700 feet i.e. 823 meters. There are three access routes to the fort. One is Jambhiwali, second is Rajmachi and the third is Sandashi. There is a water hole in the cave. The water is ice cold in every season and used for cooking purpose by the villagers. The cave is an impromptu temple of Lord Bahiri where sacrifices are carried out on regular basis.

Itinerary:

Day1 :

1. Pick up from office – 05.00 am
2. Travel to Kaamshet-Jambivali
3. Enroute breakfast
4. Reach Jambivali by 07.30 am
5. Start Trek by 8.00am towards DhakBahiri
6. Reach DhakBahiri 11.00am
7. Explore Caves up to 1.00pm
8. Lunch Up to 2.00 p.m.
9. Start Return Journey Towards Base Village 2.30
10. Reach base village & evening refreshments – 6.00pm
11. Return journey towards Pune by 07.00
12. Reach back to Pune by 09.30pm

   Torch with Extra pair of Batteries (compulsory)
3. 3 liters of Water (compulsory)
4. Full sleeves clothes (compulsory)
5. Sleeping Bag & Sleeping Mat /Carry Mat (compulsory)
6. Trekking shoes with good grip (Strictly No – sandals, chappals, floaters)
7. One extra pair of clothes (Optional)
8. Any personal medicine (As per your doctor’s Suggestion)
9. Camera, Binocular, Goggle, Sunscreen, Winter Jacket (Optional)
