Desiring the city explores the way women in New Delhi engage with the concept of desire, the many shapes it can take and what they feel. The documentary portrays an array of characters in search of a space for themselves, their intimate fears and worries.
Oindrila Duttagupta started with photographic image and after her post-graduation in Arts and Aesthetics, she has worked as supervising producer. Duttagupta is interested in the changing faces of cinema as well as how urban and digital spaces have become depositories of art and value.
The Film screening will be followed by an interaction with the Directors Oindrilla Dasgupta, Selvaggia Velo and Myna Mukherjee.
