For many in today's world, entrepreneurial success is defined by action and innovation, ability to create something out of nothing and make money in the process. However, entrepreneurship is also about making a difference in the lives of others and doing good while doing well. This is called Responsible Entrepreneurship. The current frameworks for entrepreneurship neglect the aspect of responsible design and faces problems. Such problems happen due to over-emphasis on business impact and also irresponsible or blind use of technology. Responsible Design Led Entrepreneurship framework allows you to avoid this and create not only business impact but also a lasting impact on society and humanity.
And Design plays a substantial role in making this happen. It is NOT only about designing of a solution through product design, user experience design, service design etc but also about the design of business and organisation through strategic fore sighting & business model innovation. At this seminar, we will be having critical discussions around this concept of what we call as Responsible Design Led Entrepreneurship. At IfDE, we have experts and practitioners from various fields with strong opinions and we look forward to engaging with you to discuss various topics of interest related but not limited to designing the solution, design the business and designing the organisation.
Our Speakers:
Dr Girish Prabhu: Girish has 20+ years of experience in user, business, design innovation, new product & business development, and product internationalization & localization. He has held various management positions in new business development, research, and product commercialization at Eastman Kodak, HP, and Intel and was instrumental in implementing user-centered design and innovation processes in multiple product areas. Girish has published refereed papers in international journals, holds 14 U.S. patents and is an invited speaker at both national and international conferences. In his current role as Director of Srishti Labs and Dean of Human Centered Innovation & Experience Design programs @ Srishti, he was instrumental In strategizing and implementing frameworks, projects and new higher education program.

Mr Samir Chabukswar: Samir has over 20 years of experience in systems, process, man-machine, and user experience design. He is the founder of one of India’s leading user experience design studios - YUJ Designs. He has successfully helped Fortune 500 companies design and realize UX strategy for their products and was involved in the design and management of over 1700+ user experience projects across a variety of products and domains. Samir is passionate about building high-quality design teams and mentoring designers. During his career as an Industrial Engineer in the ’90s, Samir has led projects that employed concepts of Just in Time (JIT), Lean Production Systems, Business Process Reengineering (BPR).
