Symposium on Global Epidemic of Diabetes under the auspices of European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) will be held on 1st November 2013 in Bangalore.
Diabetes has become a global epidemic with 366 million people suffering from this illness. India has the largest populations of patients affected by diabetes.
In the last few years a number of new treatment modalities have become available for the treatment of diabetes, which has led to increasing uncertainty in the medical management of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) is the world’s leading organization, established with mission is to promote excellence in diabetes care through research and education. EASD has developed a guideline along with the ADA for the management of type 2 diabetes. We are pleased to have the president of EASD, Professor Andrew Boulton, amongst us in Bangalore, who will explain to us on the current status of0 the global Epidemics of Diabetes & 2012 EASD/ADA Guidelines for the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes.
We are also fortunate to have a number of other distinguished speakers from Europe, who will talk about various aspects of diabetes and its associated complications in this international symposium.
