CSR-CSO Bridge 2011 - Moving The Growth Story Forward Through Inclusive Partnerships
Enormous challenges face the Indian economy in deepening and broadening the national agenda for inclusive development. It is felt that win-win partnerships between corporate houses and voluntary organizations, with commitments to sharing values, responsibilities and gains, are one of the most important tools for attaining the goal of inclusive and sustainable development. Lately, both the sectors are entering into a highly collaborative arrangement, with each asserting a certain check and balance on the other. However, there is a growing need for interventions to catalyze such connectivities and develop institutionalized mechanisms for sustaining and strengthening such initiatives.
Against this backdrop CII in partnership with CAPART organised CSR-CSO Bridge 2009 – Moving the Growth Story Forward through Inclusive Partnerships on 1 October, 2009 at New Delhi. The success of the CSR-CSO event held at Delhi, and its snowball effect resulting in countrywide programmes, triggered the intent to take this initiative forward by organising the 2nd edition of National CSR-CSO Bridge on 29 August 2011 at The Grand.
The CSR-CSO Bridge 2011 has been designed as a unique platform to channelise the capacities of changemakers: individuals and organizations to catalyze social change, giving impetus to developing India. It is our belief that this endeavour will have a game-changing impact nationwide on the way the stakeholders work together towards the common goal of creating large partnerships in future.
