We at Half Baked Beans believe we all are born writers with tons of stories to share. Some pen it down in secret diaries, while some voice it out through their poems and then there are some who scribble it in their stories. What binds them all commonly is a fable, yearning to be voiced.
In our constant endeavor to live up to our motto “Bake them Up” we bring to you our first event – Creatrix, a creative writing workshop for all you writers.
If you think we will teach you how to write then make no mistake for writing cannot be taught, it is born. Born with the person and nourished with time. Famous author Nora Roberts has said “You can fix anything but a blank page.” in an attempt to provide you with best we have some of the prominent names in the literary world to help you just do that!
They have entertained you, inspired you and now they will share with you their experiences of being where they are !
Harsh Agarwal-The Chief Speaker
An artist by soul, engineer by education and entrepreneur by profession, Harsh Agarwal entered the publishing industry at the early age of 19. Since then, he has been writing and helping other aspiring authors simultaneously.Till now, he has played diverse roles and has worked as an author, editor, agent, freelancer, book reviewer and mentor as well. His new book An excursion of Insight is being loved by both critiques and readers and his first mentorship project - 'Love and Lokpal' is on pre -order too. Harsh also runs the organization named - The Asylum, which aims to promote creative writing and aspiring authors. At Creatrix he will be sharing the life cycle of a book.
Shikha Sharma – Guest Speaker
Shikha Sharma is a nineteen year old student in final year of graduation in English Honours at Delhi University. She has also worked as an Editor for a Publishing house. I loved too much, he loved too many is her debut book and she is currently working on her next project. Reading and writing is something that she is obsessed with.Moreover, she considers “a day spent without writing is a day wasted.” Books and Bollywood are the two things that rule her world! She would be sharing her experience as a debut Author.
Sagarika Chakroborthy - Guest Speaker
Sagarika is a qualified corporate lawyer from National Law University, Jodhpur and a management graduate from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. By the day she deals with business intelligence and consults one of the leading firms in the world on corporate risk management.
During other times she is an author, a nation builder, a TEDx speaker who through her words is trying to make a difference to the world around her – one book at a time, as she puts it. She would be mentoring participants to know where there Genre lies.
Siddharth Tripathi – Guest Speaker
Siddharth Tripathi was born in Allahabad and schooled in Banaras. He is a B.E from NIT Trichy and an MBA from MDI, Gurgaon. Siddharth currently lives in Gurgaon and works as a consultant for a business advisory firm. He also writes a blog on music and films. The Virgins - a novel by Siddharth Tripathi is his first novel. He would be sharing the learnings one can gain while being a Writer.
