On the occasion of World Dance Day, Kathak Kendra in association with Creaticity proudly presents the Maha Kathak Utsav 2018, a three day Kathak Festival (27th April- 29th April) to be inaugurated by well-known Kathak Maestro Guru Jitendra Maharaj and Shree Adinaath Mangeshkar on 27th April. The Utsav is an initiative by Kathak Kendra, New Delhi in collaboration with Ishanya Art & Culture Club featuring India’s Kathak stalwarts and upcoming artists being held in Pune after 11 years. The Kathak Festival will bring together some of India’s internationally acclaimed performers promising a truly visual treat to Puneites and a mesmerising experience.
The three day festival will witness distinguished artists like Nalini Kamalini ,Shovana Narayan, Uma Dogra, Rani Khanam, Mata Prasad Mishra and Rudra Shankar Mishra , Monisa Nayak will be performing. Along with them, the Repertory students of Kathak Kendra will be performing 'RASAVARSHA' and 'TARANA' choreographed by Pt. Rajendra Gangani. Rujuta Soman Cultural Academy (RSCA) which is one of Pune's leading Kathak Academy is working as an Academy partner for this event.
