Workshop Description:
In This Workshop, we'll learn the core principles of Contemporary Dance Movement, Classes starts through a series of exercise intended to build stamina, strength, flexibility, coordination and rhythm to find ease, flow and space within ourselves.
Each days will be tagging and adding from what we've work on the previous session.
During these session, we'll be exploring through technique exercise, scores, guided improvisation and combinations.

* Floor Work & How to move in and out of the floor safely and efficiently.
* Movement connections and transitions.
* Body, space and breath awareness.
* Various ways to expend our Improvisation and unfolding our own unique movement.

About Faculty: Ariane Bernier is a Dancer, Performance Artist and Teacher originally from Canada. She earned a Bachelor Degree in Dance from the University of Quebec in Montreal, Canada. She has worked as a freelancer for Dance Company in New York City and collaborated on installation, site specific projects, dance films and publicities with artist of various fields. Her way of approaching movement is greatly influenced by her ongoing curiosity and studies of traditional dance technique, contact improvisation, urban dance, body work.
