National Conference on Health, Safety and Environment Protection Through Legal Reforms and Technological Innovations.
In the evolution of the human race on this planet, a stage has been reached when through the rapid acceleration of science and technology, man has acquired the power to transform his environment in countless ways in an unprecedented scale.
Prudent effective care is to be taken to protect the environment and abate the environmental hazards. For any country the effective way of controlling pollution and degradation of resources is to combine traditional laws, with modern legislation and choice of technology so as to adopt relevant environmental safeguards. Government has recently taken another step to address environmental issues through National Green Tribunal Act, 2010 which is exclusively dedicated to environmental issues for the compensation and restitution of damage caused from actions of environmental negligence and apply the "polluter pays" principle and the principle of sustainable development.
Therefore the daunting task before all of us is to conserve natural environment and its resources like air, water, energy, mineral, vegetation, global compact etc. through green (or environment) technology to curb the negative impacts of human involvement, and supplementing it through legislative measures, including awareness about it.
