There will be screening of a 40 minute documentary film 'A drop of sunshine' based on the life of Reshma, a young woman from Pune, who was diagnosed with schizophrenia while studying in college. She also fought with suicidal feelings. The film, in English, made by Aparna Sanyal, chronicles Reshma's journey over ten years through the symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, self-discovery and recovery process.
The film was shown by Doordarshan TV in May 2011, and recently screened at a film festival in Kerala.
Reshma will be present to interact with the audience after the screening.
The programme is open to all and seating will be on a first come first served basis.
