Confederation of Indian Industry and Yi Delhi Chapter are organizing a Panel Discussion on Opportunities and Challenges: The Competition Laws in India at CII Headquarters.
The recent order of the Competition Commission of India (CCI) in August 2011 imposing the highest ever anti trust penalty of Rs. 630 crore has brought the CCI in the limelight as a powerful regulator where customer grievances can be addressed. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has also set up a National Committee to review the existing Competition Act, 2002 and frame a National Competition Policy for India. With the growth of Indian MNC's and large M & As we are poised to face greater activism under the Competition Laws and each of us as consumers as well as members of Corporate India would be enriched by the discussions of our informed Panel.
