Certificate Training Program on Patent Prosecution for Mechanical/Automotive and General Engineering Sector

Intellectual Property Office, India has taken several measures for substantive improvement of IP Ecosystem in the country. One such initiative is to clear the backlog of around 2 lakh pending patent applications. With the increase Patent Examiners at IPO, the rate of issuing First Examination Report (FER) for Patent Applications has increased dramatically. This coupled with other factors namely introduction of expedited examination and filing Response to FER within six months from issuance of FER, there is a requirement of skilled manpower to respond within examination timeline and increase the grant.

With this background, CII is organizing a two day comprehensive training program on prosecuting Patent Application effectively.

• Interaction with IPO Officials on Issues pertaining to Patents from Automotive, mechanical and General Engineering Sector
