While many students aspire to choose psychology as their career option, they have little or no understanding about the field, its offerings, its specialisations and its standing in field of health care. The Careers in psychology workshop has been designed with an aim to fulfill these needs.
This two hour workshop gives an insight in to the various options for students who wish to pursue psychology as a career.
This workshop also emphasises on the importance of the emotional skills required for professionals in this field. This is ideal for school and college students but is open to anyone who is considering to choose psychology/ mental health / counseling as their career option.
About Facilitator: Mrs. Mahalakshmi Rajagopal is a Psychiatric Social Worker, Psychologist, Pranic Healer and Certified Trainer, Crystal Healer and EFT Practitioner. She has started 25 years back, when she joined a drug less therapy centre in Chennai, soon after completing my Masters in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work. Not only was she introduced to different therapies ranging from Foot Reflexology , Polarity Therapy, Jin Shin Do, Reiki, Pranic Healing, but she also learnt their positive impact on psychiatric patients.
