About the course -
Mechanical engineering is one of the fundamental types of engineering, and it is also contains a large quantity of sub-categories, such as heating and cooling, thermodynamics, manufacturing engineering, and more. There has always been a need for mechanical engineers, and since there are very innovative solutions coming about in more specialized mechanical engineering fields such as robotics and industrial engineering, we expect mechanical engineering and its sub-categories to be in demand in the future. Even Google's Director of Engineering thinks this is the future, especially robotics engineering.
Production engineering is a combination of manufacturing technology, engineering sciences with management science. A production engineer typically has a wide knowledge of engineering practices and is aware of the management challenges related to production. The goal is to accomplish the production process in the smoothest, most-judicious and most-economic way.
