Capoeiristas play capoeira, as opposed to fight; having a conversation with their bodies through various kicks, escapes, and movements. It proves a unique opportunity for its practitioners to learn a new language, sing, exercise their body, mind and spirit.
The session usually starts with warm-up and stretches, followed by rigrous training, conditioning and finally cool down. A Capoeira class can also include music and various related forms of dance.
