Godrej & Boyce and renowned children’s author Katie Bagli have collaborated to create a children’s book on the Mangroves and will be unveiled on 2nd December 2019. This is part of the company’s initiative to spread awareness through educational outreach material that outlines the importance of the conservation of the environment and the Mangroves ecosystem.
Godrej & Boyce and Katie Bagli will discuss the ’Many Secrets of Mangroves’, highlight their diversity and emphasize their importance in our environment.
The event will also have renowned scientist Dr. K. Kathiresan, who will give a talk on ‘The diversity and importance of Indian Mangroves’. Dr. K. Kathiresan is an M.Sc., Ph.D., D.Sc., and an Honorary Professor, Formerly Dean & Director, Centre of Advanced Study in Marine Biology, Faculty of Marine Sciences, Formerly Member-Syndicate in Annamalai University. He is a world class scientist, who has spent practically most of his career by studying the mangrove wetlands.
The event, which is set to largely have an audience of children is also open to the public on registration basis.
