BIG 4 | Climb 4 highest mountain peaks of Maharashtra.

By speaking of greater forces than we can possibly invoke, and by confronting us with greater spans of time than we can possibly envisage, mountains refute our excessive trust in the man-made. They pose profound questions about our durability and the importance of our schemes. They induce, I suppose, a modesty in us.”

With said that Altitude Quest Adventure brings to you on of the most desired range trek in Western Ghats of Maharashtra, BIG 4 is an adventure that will take you to 4 highest peaks in Maharshtra in one go. This trek will unfold some of the most beautiful sights that you surely would have not seen before. As event is planned in hot summer time when rugged Sahyadri becomes more difficult to climb, BIG 4 is surely going to challenge for participants. Its sheer test of one’s endurance and grit. The 4th & 3rd highest peaks are to be climbed on day 1 in daytime where Salher & Kalsubai are going to be night trek. So if you are looking to do something really thrilling this summer come join us in the madness we call BIG 4.

When will it start?

17th April at 11 PM, Bus will start from SGNP – Borivali (E).

How many days & What are the dates?

Total 4 Days & 5 Nights. Dates are 17th,18th, 19th ,20th & 21st April 2019.

How many participants?

Least number of participants we are looking is 25 pax, with an upper limit upto 35 pax.

What is the last date for registration?

Last date of registration is 20th March, 2019.

What are climbing?

We are climbing 4 highest peaks of Maharashtra.
4th Ghanchakkar – 4951 ft. (ASL)
3rd Gawaldev – 4993 ft. (ASL)
2nd Salher – 5141 ft. (ASL)
1st Kalsubai – 5400 ft. (ASL)

How will be the flow of event?

17th April
11 PM – Start From SGNP, Borivali (E) Pick up points: WEH Goregoan, IIT Powai, Teen Hath Naka Thane, Vatika Hotel Kalyan

18th April
5 AM – Reach Shirpunje Village
5:30 – 7:30 AM – Rest & Breakfast
8:00 AM – Trek Starts
10:00 AM – Reach Bhairavnath Temple
11:00 AM – Bhiravnath to Ghanchakkar
1:30 PM – Lunch at Ghanchakkar Top
2:30 PM – Ghanchakkar to Gawaldev and return back to Ghanchakkar for overnight camping

19th April
6:00 AM – Wake Up Call, followed by morning drills
7:30 AM – Breakfast
8:00 AM – Descend from Ghanchakkar to Shirpunje
10:00 AM – Reach Shirpunje & Rest
12:00 PM – Lunch at Shirpunje Village
1:30 PM – Start for Salher from Shirpunje
7:00 PM – Reach Salher Base Village
7:00 – 9:00 PM – Free time, followed by Dinner at Salher Base village
10:00 PM – Ascend starts Salher’s top
2:00 AM – Reach Salher Top, overnight stay in tents

20th April
6:00 AM – Wake Up call & Enjoy Sunrise
7:30 AM – Breakfast
8:00 AM – Descend from Salher
11:00 AM – Reach Salher Base Village & Rest
12:00 PM – Lunch at Salher Base village
1:00 PM – Start for Kalsubai
6:30 PM – Reach Kalsubai Base village
7:00 – 8:30 PM – Rest & Dinner at Base Village
9:00 PM – Ascend for Kalsubai
1:30 AM – Reach Kalsubai Top & Rest

21st April
6:00 AM – Wakeup call & Enjoy Sunrise from top of Maharashtra
7:30 AM – Breakfast
8:00 AM – Descend from Kalsubai
10:30 AM – Reach Kalsubai Base village
12:00 PM – Lunch 
2:00 PM – Resume back to Mumbai with a memory of thrilling experience of lifetime.

People of what age can participate?

Anyone in between 16 years to 44 years can participate in this event.

What is fee for participation?

Fees for registration is INR. 6999/- per person inclusive of GST

What are essential things to carry for the trek?

Given below is list of essential things to carry for BIG 4 treks;
• Good condition Sport / Trekking Shoes
• Tracks Pants
• Identity Card
• T-Shirts as per your need
• Torch with extra batteries
• Minimum of 3 aluminum Water Bottles
• Extra Pair of Clothes, as per your need
• Windcheater
• Garbage Bags
• Sleeping Bag
• Toiletries & Personal Medicines (If any)
• Some dry snacks and eatables, as per your need
• Power Bank
• And 2 Backpacks
o 1 Day pack for treks
o 1 To keep extra luggage in bus

Note:
1) Please do not carry any valuable things for this event.
2) If you plan to opt out during trek then you have to make your arrangements.

Cancellation and Refund applicable on trek cost:

1. If cancellation done prior to 30 days of the event, 100% will be refund.
2. If cancellation done prior to 15 days of event, 75% will be refunded.
3. If done prior to 10 days of event, 50% will be refunded
4. After that no refund will be provided.
5. Minimum 25 participants required for conducting an event, otherwise organizer has all the rights to cancel event.
