A small easy 45 mins trek in green nature. On top of fort large plateau, Fortification like ruined fort doors, old citadels, small temple, Water tanks, lake, breathtaking view of S shaped River from top.
JaiVilas Palace / Jawhar Fort :
JaiVilas palace was built on a hill top by Raje Yashwant Rao Maukne. this palace is a master piece of architecture with blend of Western and Indian styles of architecture in majestic pink stones. The interiors of this palace display the rich culture and lifestyle of tribal kings of Munke family. The palace is surrounded by a beautiful garden with a dense forest like foliage, having trees of Cashew everywhere.
Shirpa Mal :
The Shirpamal,a structure created at the top of a hill, is said to have been built three centuries ago when Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj chose to camp here en route to surat.It is the very place where the first Vikramshah,the king of Jawhar kingdom had welcomed Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and put a feather in his crown.
Dabhosa Waterfall :
Dabhosa waterfall is one of the highest waterfalls in Maharashtra. To top it all this is one of the very few waterfalls which is perennial. The crater shaped bowl into which the waterfall cascades and the lake at the bottom of the waterfall is truly a spectacular site.
The height of waterfall is about 300 feet. The water from Lendi river first flows in the flask shaped rock and from there it flows in 5 feet by 5 feet flask shaped open natural container made of rocks.
Journey Details (Tentative itinerary)
5 Aug 2018 : Meeting point Dadar Rly Station (Swami Narayan Mandir) 05 :00 am.
Pickup points in routes will be Sion, Mulund, Thane, Bhivandi
Journey continues towards Destination
8 am : Breakfast on the way
10 am: Reach base village.
11 .45 am: Reach Top & explore the fort.
1 pm: Start descends & reach to Shirpa Mal.
2 pm: Lunch
3 pm: Dabhosa Watefall.
5 Pm: JaiVilas Palace.
6 Pm: Start return Journey.
11 Pm: Reach Mumbai by 11:00 pm (+/-1 hr).
The ESTIMATED EXPENDITURE is 1500/- per head.
