"There is no greater gift in the world than the ability to help someone in need.”
New Acropolis invites you to attend a First Aid Training Workshop to be conducted in collaboration with the Nightingales Lifesaving Services.
What is First Aid and why is it important?
First Aid is the immediate, albeit temporary, help given to an injured or a sick person, before professional medical treatment can be provided. Anyone can be trained to administer first aid, with use of minimal equipment. To come to the assistance of a fellow human being, at a tragic time of need, is truly the duty of every citizen. Basic First Aid Training will already enable you to face up to a challenging crisis through a calm, yet effective, immediate response. You could truly make a difference to the life of a loved one, a neighbour, or of a complete stranger.
About the workshop
Through practical exercises, we will cover important topics of First Aid such as handling of injuries - bleeding, burns, poisoning, fractures, bandaging, shifting the victim from accident site to the hospital.
The course covers, accidents, fractures, bleeding, neck and spinal injuries, dog bites, snake bite, poisoning seizures, electrical injuries, choking, drowning etc. It also covers precautions to be taken by the First Aider and myths related to First Aid.
Successful completion of this Workshop will earn you certification from Nightingales Lifesaving Services.
Comfortable clothing recommended.
