Bandhavgarh Wildlife is a place of mythological and legendary significance. The ancient Bandhavgarh Fort is of great importance as it is believed to have been gifted by Lord Rama to his younger brother Lakshmana. ‘Bandhav’ in English means brother and ‘Garh’ means fort. Hence the name, Bandhavgarh. Bandhavgarh dates back to 2000 years ago and you will find several men made caves with inscriptions and rock paintings. Bandhavgarh is also the land of tigers. This is the place to visit if you want to spot the big cat. The sight of the majestic tiger, up close and personal, is said to trigger a sense of awe in you, of the kinds you would have only experienced in your childhood.
Itinerary:
Day 1
We depart from Pune by the Jabalpur-bound 3AC express train.
Day 2
On reaching Jabalpur at 06.00 hrs, we move towards the picturesque Bhedaghat. We visit the Dhuandhar waterfalls and go for a boat ride through the gorge created by the calm waters of the Narmada. Thereon, we proceed towards Bandhavgarh and reach there by evening tea. After returning, experts will conduct introductory session and orientation of the forest. Overnight stay at the resort in Bandhavgarh.
Day 3
Today, we have morning and evening safari rides into the forest. After a busy, rewarding day out in the jungle gather for a group discussion session, before you reach out for a sumptuous dinner arranged for you.
Day 4
2 more safaris into the forest! 4 safaris old, the great Indian-safari experience will start unfolding before your eyes! Overnight at the resort.
Day 5
After an early morning safari, we leave for Jabalpur with packed lunch to board the train for Pune.
Day 6
Reach Pune at 9:30 am.
