About The Event

SWAPNIL'S PERFORMING ARTS & CONTEMPORARY ENSEMBLE (SPACE) 
brings to you contemporary jazz and improvisation workshops with International Choreographers Esteban Olives and Michel Casanovas from France. 

Also witness our grand finale at The New Karnatak High School Auditorium at 6:30 pm on the 6th of May 2012. It will include dance for camera productions and performances by international artists.

Workshop Details :

4th May & 5th May : For all levels

5:00 pm to 7:00 pm : Contemporary Jazz Technique with Esteban Olives 
7:00 pm to 9:00 pm : Floorwork, Exploration of Space, Contact and Improvisation with Michel Casanovas 
9:00 pm to 9:30 pm : Movie Screening (Open for all) 

6th May : For all levels

9:00 am to 11:00 am : Contemporary Jazz Technique with Esteban Olives 
11:00 am to 1:00 pm : Floorwork, Exploration of Space, Contact and Improvisation with Michel Casanovas 
9:00 pm to 9:30 pm : Movie Screening (Open for all) 

Esteban will be teaching a beginner contemporary jazz workshop for 3 days. Having worked and trained with world renowned dance companies like the Alvin Ailey Dance Repertory Ensemble, Hubbart Street Chicago, Houston Ballet and many more. 

Influenced by Martha Graham and Lester Horton, the Esteban Olives technique ranges from classical to jazz combining flexibility, strength, muscle force and balance of the human body . 

Michel Casanovas will be teaching an open to all contemporary floor work, exploration of space, contact and improvisation workshop. His work is based on strong thematics in human being condition, revealing a sensitive and creative approach of dance through specific movement research and improvisation.
