Arudra Darshan: A phenomenal Day To Get The Auspicious Blessings Of Lord Shiva When His Powerful Energies Touch Upon Earth
Lord Nataraj - The Dancing Form, Signifies Mastery of Ego, Desires and Evil
The cosmic dance of Lord Nataraj (Lord Shiva) represents five actions — creation, protection, destruction, embodiment and release. It also proves that life is a continuous cycle of creation and destruction. This is exactly is what Arudra Darshan is all about. Arudra Darshan celebrates this rapturous movement/dance of Lord Shiva. The festival falls on Thiruvadirai star and celebrated on a full Moon day, this time January 2, 2018, also has the longest night of the year.
Lord Shiva’s dance not only transports the devotees to ecstasy, it also reminds everyone of the higher purpose of life i.e. moving from evanescent to eternity. It is also believed that on this day the Lord’s energy is closest to the earth. Therefore, Lord Shiva’s blessings are 100% assured for the devotee.

Rudrayamala Tantra Homam:
The Rudra Yamala Tantra which is a sacred text of the Bhairava Agama. In this, Goddess Shakti asks Lord Shiva to reveal the essence of the path to realisation of the highest order. Lord Shiva, in his reply, says that there are 112 ways to enter into the transcendental and universal state of consciousness. Some of them are mastering the skill of breath awareness, non-dual awareness, imagination, visualisation and contemplation through each of the senses, chanting, etc. in the Vedicfolks homa, the priests chant ‘lagunyasam’ which is a depiction of Lord Shiva’s appearance.
It seeks protection for the devotee and also asks God to shower his grace upon the mortal soul. It goes on to chant the Rudrayamala verses i.e. the ‘gayathri’ of the three deities that represent Rudra – Shiva, Parvathi and Ganga. The sacrosanct homa is so auspicious that it is equal to sighting the Lord Shiva and his consorts in heaven.
