About Andharban :
The trek through Andharban is one of the most refreshing treks in the Sahyadri region. The name ‘Andharban’ is a compound word, coming from Andhar, meaning ‘dark’, and ban, which means ‘forest’. Literally the ‘dark forest’, Andharban is a trail through dense overgrowth, with beautiful views of the waterfalls, Plus Valley and the Tamhini Ghat along the way. Scattered throughout with numerous small streams and waterfalls, it is a descending trek – it begins at an elevation of approximately 2,160 feet in the Sahyadri mountains and descends down into the valley, to reach the backwaters of the Bhira Dam

Time : 5:30 AM at starting pickup point.

Difficulty Level : Moderate (Mostly descending trails with a few flat walks.)
Reporting at : Bus pickup points as per the below timings :
5:30 AM : Katepuram chowk, Pimple Gurav
5:45 AM : Pune University circle
6:15 AM : Nal stop signal
6:30 AM : Chandni chowk
Things to Carry :
Sports shoes with good grip(Avoid Sandals),
2 lit water bottle(compulsory),
3/4ths or shorts not allowed for this trek. Many mosquitoes on the trail. Better wear full sleeves and full track bottoms, Cap, Rain wear, extra pair of clothes.
snacks, enerzal, personal medication if required .
Schedule of the Trek:
1. Reporting at Bus pickup points as per the timings shared.
2. 8:30 AM :- Reach Pimpri village(start point of Andharban trail). Breakfast on the way.
3. 8:45 AM :- Start the hike.
4. 12:30 PM : Lunch at hirdi village(Vegetarian)
5. 4.00 PM : Reach Bhira dam. Trek ends here. Have Tea + Biscuits.
6. 5:00 PM : Leave for pune.
The above timings are tentative and may vary depending on group speed.
Inclusions :
Bus transport Pune – Andharban – Bhira – Pune.
Breakfast, Lunch, evening tea + biscuits, First Aid if required
Exclusions :
Entry ticket to the forest.
Anything which is not described in above section will not be provided, any personal buyings, mineral water.
Trail Fees :
800 per trekker
750 for group bookings above 5.
Who can participate : All trekking enthusiasts.
Cancellation Policy : No Refund will be provided. You can exchange your seat with your friend.

Behavior during trek
Participants are expected to behave cordially with each other. Smoking and alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited. Please make sure a person’s behavior does not prove to be a discomfort for others.
Any plastic waste should not be thrown over the trek and it should be kept with you. You can deposit all waste in the dust bin at base village once trek is over.
