Session I: Autonomous Transaction Processing Database.

Larry recently announced World's First Autonomous Transaction Processing Database, which is an addition to Oracle Autonomous Database Family.  

Autonomous Transaction Processing is built on the same cloud infrastructure as Autonomous Data Warehouse and offers powerful new capabilities in the world's first Autonomous Database. Last year, Oracle announced Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW), a cloud based technology designed to automate many of the routine tasks. Since then ADW has garnered much of the attention. The Autonomous Database Tech Day will walk you through the Introduction to this technology with some interesting data and facts from customer POC's and some real life practical examples. During the entire session, we shall also cover some of the underlying technologies behind Autonomous.

Bio of Vivek Sharma

Vivek Sharma is a Technologist with Oracle Core Technology & Cloud Team at Asia Pacific. Vivek has over 20 years of experience working on Database Architecture, Consulting and Performance Optimization. Vivek utilizes this experience to support Oracle’s key customers with some of the most critical and challenging performance problems when it comes to the Oracle Database. As an Oracle Database Expert, Vivek spends most of his time assisting the customers to get best out of their Oracle Systems and Database Investment. He assists customers across Asia Pacific on various systems including SPARC, x86 and Oracle Engineered systems such as Exadata. His core area of expertise includes Performance Optimization of Oracle Database and the Applications atop Oracle Database. Working closely with Oracle’s Engineering Teams, Vivek also regularly brings Customer Experiences and Issues from the field to the Engineers that design and create Oracle Technologies. He plays an all-important role as a bridge between Oracle Customers and Engineers as part of the EEE program. Outside of speaking at events, Vivek also contributes articles through his blog and OTN. Session II: Machine Learning in ORACLE ADWC

Oracle Machine Learning in Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse cloud service (ADWC) is an Apache Zeppelin based ML SQL Notebook. It provides an interface for data scientists to perform machine learning in the ADWC.  Oracle Machine Learning SQL notebooks provide easy access to Oracle's parallelized, scalable in-database implementations of a library of Oracle Advanced Analytics' machine learning algorithms (classification, regression, anomaly detection, clustering, associations, attribute importance, feature extraction, times series, etc.), SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle's statistical and analytical SQL functions.  Users of this notebook can create scripts, documentation around assumptions, rationale and approaches to increase data science team productivity.

Prashant is Principal Solution Engineer at Oracle. His 18 years of career has been mostly focused around data management technologies. He is an expert in data warehousing and analytics on cloud as well on-premise solutions. He has been a regular speaker in data management conferences.
