The fest, spanning three days from 10-12 September 2011, is a guaranteed treat for not only theatre enthusiasts, but also for those open to new experiences for the weekend. The National Law School of India University, Bangalore, has long been known and renowned as the best law college in the country and has even been termed as the 'Harvard of the East'. But we students of law like to engage in other activities as well and 'Admit One' is one such initiative.
Since its inception in 2006, this festival, organized by the Cultural and Fine Arts Committee of the NLSIU, Bangalore, has reached an international scale with participation from several colleges, both within the country and abroad. Celebrated theatre personalities like Arundhati Nag, Mallika Sarabhai and Chippy Gangjee amongst others have graced the event with their presence and constant support over the years to make Admit One what it is today.
The 6th edition of the fest, plans to take drama to a whole new level. Thespo, the annual all-India youth theatre festival from Mumbai, is collaborating with us for the first time, making Admit One the first screening for Thespo 13. Associated with theatre stalwarts such as Naseeruddin Shah, Girish Karnad, Anupam Kher, Alyque Padamsee among others, Thespo has also been the starting point of the careers of many who have made their mark in the world of film and television, like Akarsh Khurana(Kites), Anand Tiwari(Aisha), Karan Makhija(Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na) and so on.
Further, well-known theatre group, Dramanon, will be performing the opening act with their play, 'Elling'. The play, based on the the cult Norwegian novel by Ingvar Ambjørnsen and Oscar nominated film, is a delightful heart-warming comedy that is guaranteed to leave behind an impression on your mind. Moreover, with the large number of enthusiastic and brilliant performances lined up over these three days, it is one event you do not want to miss!

Where: Sri Kumaran Children's Home Auditorium (new campus, off Kanakpura Road) on 10th and 11th, and Alliance Francaise(Vasanthnagar) on the 12th.
Tickets: Rs. 50 for one day and Rs. 100 for all 3 days
