Aditya Park will be organizing “Kerala on Platter” A special Food Festival to celebrate Onam (the Harvest Festival) from 9th- 18th September, 2011 at Promenade the Multicuisine Restaurant. The specially designed Food Festival will offer an array of mouth watering authentic dishes. Kerala Food Festival promises to provide everyone an opportunity to enjoy the festivities and rejoice the bounty of nature with popular & authentic Onam dishes.
The festival is a scrumptious fusion of Travancore, Thrissur, Moplah and Nasrani cuisine. Specialty Chefs are flown in from Kottayam who has meticulously designed a menu with a good mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes from across Kerala. The main course of the Sadhya features a number of mouth-watering delicacies like Avial (mixed vegetable curry simmered in curd and coconut paste), Mushroom Ullitheeyal (mixed gravy of mushroom and shallots), Urulai Mezhukku Peratti (potato cubes fried with shallots and red chilli flakes), Kalan (a curd preparation), Vegetable Stew, Erussery (lentil and vegetables) and a variety of thorans (vegetables fried with grated coconuts). Chemmeen Peera (shrimp, fresh grated coconut and kokum), Meen Moilee (fish, coconut milk and turmeric), Meen Pattichathu (sour and spicy fish curry) Mutton Stew Chemmeen Perattiyathu (prawn in roasted spices), Kozi Roast (succulent pot roasted chicken in aromatic spices) and Karimmen Porichathu (marinated and shallow fried pearl spot fish). These are complimented with the famous appams and parothas.
Kerala on a Platter is a 10 day long festival from 9th September, 2011 - 18th September, 2011 at Promenade, the multi cuisine restaurant at Hotel Aditya Park. The festival is a dinner buffet from 07.30 p.m onwards. The festival includes a special Onam lunch on 09th September. The buffet is priced at Rs. 425/- per person (exclusive of taxes).
