Entrepreneurship - Gateway To Economic Development
Indians have tremendous entrepreneurial capacity. However the society and government are not very encouraging towards entrepreneurship. To a large extent, the Indian society is risk averse. People usually seek secure and long-term employment, such as government jobs. Social attitudes, lack of capital, inadequate physical infrastructure and lack of government support are major factors of problems.
It is really a good change in the recent trends that most of the youngsters turn towards entrepreneurship as their career objective.
Every entrepreneur is contributing towards economic development of the nation. Entrepreneurs will play the key role in economic growth of the nation by creating self employment opportunities and providing the jobs to others.
According to United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), India ranks 134th out of 182 countries in the world, with the human development index (HDI)-2009 report based on 2007 data in terms of a long and healthy life, access to knowledge and a decent standard of living to its citizens. India needs more and more entrepreneurs to overcome basic challenges of the nation-poverty, illiteracy, unemployment and therefore help in economic development.
Need for meet
There is certainly no formula to become a successful entrepreneur. Some may succeed and make good profits; others drop along the way. Young entrepreneurs who do not know where to start, need helping hands from industry experts in terms of nurturing, mentoring and guiding them in proper direction to plan and launch their own ventures.
We invite first generation entrepreneurs and the industry experts to connect with each other through YIE platform.
This meet is also giving a chance to entrepreneurs to share their success stories, and how they could overcome the challenges of risk and uncertainties in own business. Please contact us if you are interested to deliver a talk in the meet about your success story or sponsor the event to promote your company.
