About SRST'10 Workshop:

During the last decade, speech interface technology has advanced to a point that it is no longer considered only academic  research but has good commercial value. The increasing  interest  in  bringing  speech recognition technology  to real-world field  applications  suggests the organization of  this workshop The  objective of the  Workshop is to provide an opportunity for interested  faculty, scientists and engineers  to get an overview and hands-on experience in speech recognition technologies.

Contents & Lab Sessions:

Session 1:

* Overview of Speech Technologies
* Scope of Research.

Session 2:

* Exploring Praat tool
* Working with Praat tool
* Simple Demo

Resource Person Profile:

Mrs. N. Kalyani completed B.Tech civil from Osmania University in 1994, M.Tech Computer Science in 2001 & persuing Ph.D from JNTUH. She has working experience of 5 years as Design Engineer in R. K. Engineers, Hyderabad and 10 years of teaching for both under and post graduate students. She is expertise in Automata Theory, Compiler Design, AUP, DAA, ADS & HCI. She is recipient of Academic Excellence Award" by GNITS in 2008. She authored a book on "Formal Languages and Automata Theory" for TATA McGRAWHILL. "Advanced Unix programming & Compiler Design Lab manual" for BSP publications. She has research experience in the area of "Speech recognition for Indian languages". She published 4 papers in International Journals and 10 papers in international conferences. She is a life member of CSI & ISTE technical associations.
