Exhaustive testing of any software application is extremely difficult due to the time taken to execute all test cases. There is a need to intelligently reduce the number of test cases during functional testing. Design of Experiments (DOE) and Taguchi's concept of Orthogonal Array (OA) are finding use in reducing the number of test cases. Orthogonal Array based testing is becoming increasingly popular and tools are being developed based on OA.
This workshop will discuss the concepts of OA and train the participants on how to generate reduced number of test cases using Taguchi’s Orthogonal Array concept. Examples and case studies will be used to illustrate the benefits of OA based Testing. Participants will be taught to generate OA using MS Excel.
