Rupin pass one the moderate level trek of Himalaya which starts from Dhoula and Complete on Sangal Himachal Pradesh, the maximum part of this trek lies on beautiful Himachal Pradesh. Being a high-altitude trek, of about 15250 feet, Rupin Pass is considered among one of the high range expeditions for trekking in India. The high altitude in the not just sole reason for its popularity among trekkers, the diversified number of sceneries and sudden variation in trails also attracts many nature lovers.
Day1:- Dehradun to Dhaula
220 km drive/Bus on additional cost
Last ATM- Purola
Day2:-Dhaula 1550m to Sewa 1980m
Altitude 1980 m
9 km trek,5 hrs Moderate level of ascent.
Visit the village temple in the evening
Day3:- Sewa 1980m to Jakha 2680m
12 km trek, 6-7 hrs
Moderate level of the walk for first 3 hrs and steep ascent.
Wooden bridge on the way, which is the border of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh
Difficulty level increase till Jakha. This is the Highest and the last village of Rupin pass trek.
Day4:- Jakha 2680m to Burash Kandi 3259m
7 km trek, 5-7 hrs Easy but a long walk, Most of walk you enjoy the waterfalls.
Day5:- Burash Kandi 3259m to Dandreyash Thatch 3560m
5 km trek, 3-4 hrs
Enjoy the snow bridges and wild flowers
Trail surrounded by Silver birches (Bhoj trees), Rhododendrons (white, pink, purple)
Day6:- Dandreyash Thatch 3560m to Upper Waterfall 4054m
Altitude 4054 m
3.5 km trek, 3-5 hrs
moderate level of ascent, a continuously tricky climbing trail around the snow patches
Kindly avoid getting on the snow patch directly
Day7:- Upper Waterfall 4054 m to Rupin Pass 4649 m to Ronti gad 4090 m
Altitude 4649 m
10 km Trek, 8-9 hrs longest and most exciting day of the trek
Steep ascent till the pass and then steep descend 200 m of very steep ascent known as Rupin Gully, just before the pass, give pass to porters and guides, let them go ahead.
Carry enough hot water from the campsite, Water sources are limited Reached Ronti gad late in the evening
Day8:- Ronti gad 4090 m to Sangla 2682m
Altitude (2682 m)
13 km trek,5-6 hrs
moderate level of descent, continuously descent till Sangla
