Mumbai Indians vs Kochi Tuskers DLF IPL IV, April 15, 2011

About The Event

The match between Mumbai Indians and Kochi Tuskers Kerala may appear more predictable owing to the fact that the contest is set between the power pack Mumbai team against the comparatively less experienced debutant Kerala team. Scheduled to be played on April 15, 2011 from 8 pm (IST) onwards, the 13th match of the DLF IPL series is already assumed to be one-sided. The match will be played in Mumbai giving another strong reason for the powerful team to grab the winning title at the home town.

The Mumbai team: This team is always ranked as one of the most powerful teams of the IPL session. The presence of master-blaster Sachin Tendulkar makes the team highly invulnerable. It started the present session with a bang by crushing the Delhi Daredevils in its first match. This may be a prediction of a great match ahead for the team.

The team has the advantage of having the best combination of some of the most experienced batsmen and bowlers. Some names to watch out for an extraordinary delivery in the upcoming match other than the legendary Sachin are Munaf Patel, Harbhajan Singh, Rohit Sharma, Lasith Malinga, Andrew Symonds and Kieron Pollard.

The Kochi team: The debutant Kerala had a bad start in the IPL series failing drastically against the mighty Royal Challengers. Though the battle it fought is commendable, yet it needs to be worked upon to emerge as a threatening force in the series. The team is certainly meek in front of the titanic power of the Mumbai team. Both the batting and bowling front of the Kochi team is weak and this makes the upcoming match more predictable.

Perhaps, Sree Santh is the big hope for the Keralites but contrary to the localities’ expectations, his performance has worsened even more than it was during the World Cup. The captaincy of high profile player Mahela Jayawardene cannot help much unless the team as a whole works on its playing front. Though there are some popular names like Muthiah Muralitharan, Steven Smith, John Hastings, Parthiv Patel and VVS Laxman, the team still exhibits a weak disposition and may stand defenseless against the powerful Mumbai Indians.
