We have great pleasure in extending you a warm and, personal invitation for a unique First International Conference on ‘ Mind Body Medicine ’ being organized at Brahma Kumaris – Shanti Sarovar retreat centre on 12th and 13th of February 2011. This International conference is being organized as a follow-up to 22 other National Conferences organized by Medical Wing of Brahma Kumaris all over India. The conference aims to provide an opportunity for practicing specialists from different fields of Medicine to come together and share the latest developments in their respective fields in the serene surroundings of Shanti Sarovar – the proverbial Oasis of Peace. This unique conference, in addition to nourishing the Intellect, also aims to nourish the Spirit of the participants by giving enough space to explore and experience various aspects of Holistic and Healthy Life Style through the medium of Rajyoga Meditation as taught by Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya. Rajyoga meditation encourages the practitioner to generate positive, powerful and creative thoughts that increase self love, self respect, self esteem and self confidence. BKIVV’s 8500 Meditation centres serve the people of 130 countries by offering Rajyoga Meditation free of cost as a part of its community service initiative. The Vidyalaya also offers various self-development courses. BKIVV serves people of various professions and sections of the society through its 17 wings given below. Acknowledging the challenges of rapid global change, we nurture the well-being of the entire human family by promoting spiritual understanding, leadership with integrity and elevated actions towards a better world.

 

The Brahma Kumaris was founded in 1936, by diamond merchant  Lekhraj Kripalani at the age of 60, known as Dada Lekhraj. Who, following a series of spiritual visions, adopted the name of "Brahma Baba" and founded the Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, formely known as Om Mandali. 

 

Dadi Janki joined the BKIVV as a founding member in 1937 at the age of 21. In the 1950's she established numerous BK centres throughout India. In 1974 she established the first BK centre outside of India, in London, UK. Under her guidance and inspiration, centres now exist in nearly 130 countries. She was appointed Administrative Head of the BKIVV in 2007.
